By swapping unsustainable meat content for nutritionally-rich insect protein, our dog and cat foods are better for pets and the planet.

The benefits of swapping

to Aardvark pet food

Vet approved

We’ve talked to a host of leading veterinarians and pet nutritionists who backed Aardvark so much they agreed to join our team of  experts.

Protein rich

Our crunchy kibbles are naturally high in protein and you get the  whole grub with all the amino acids and nutrients your pet needs.  Absolutely no fillers and no growth hormones here!

Healthy grubs

Our insect-based recipe is vet-approved. Aardvark grubs are hypoallergenic meaning they’re perfect for dogs  and cats with sensitive stomachs.

Planet-friendly

By swapping unsustainable meat content for nutritionally-rich insect protein, our dog and cat foods are better for pets and the planet. Our  grubs need 2% of the land and 4% of the water it would take to  produce the same quantity of beef, and are fed on fruit and vegetables which would would have gone to waste if not for our grubs!

Pet approved

We went through 27 different recipes until we found our delicious blend of sustainable insect protein, sweet potato, pulses, and herbs that’s free from unnatural nasties - so we know your pet will love it!

Pets are responsible for as much as

A quarter of the damage...

…associated with the meat industry. In the US alone that amounts to around 64 million tonnes of CO2 and methane - the same as 13.6 million cars! So reducing their environmental pawprint is essential to our planet’s future.

That’s why we’ve developed our crunchy kibbles from

sustainable

insect protein...

…with all natural ingredients and no fillers. Insects produce 80x less methane than cows and need 12x less feed to produce the same amount of protein.

Our protein comes from Black Soldier Fly larvae that grow

to 5000x their body weight...

…in just 2 weeks and are sustainably fed on organic waste. These are fruit and vegetables which previously would have been discarded and are now instead fed to our grubs - creating a circular system!

Insects are a

novel protein source...

…which considerably reduces the chances that they trigger intolerances in dogs or cats compared to other sources of meat like chicken and beef.

Our Recipe

Crunchy kibble made from sustainable insect meal and a delicious blend of sweet potato, pulses, fruits and herbs with all the essential proteins, nutrients, vitamins and minerals that your cat/dog needs.
